Many of the houses in Akrotiri are of major structures, some of them are three – storeys high. Its streets, squares, and walls were preserved in the layers of ejecta, sometimes as tall as 8 metres, indicating this was a major town of Santorini. In many houses stone staircases are still intact, and they also contain huge ceramic storage jars (pithoi), mills, and pottery. Noted archaeological remains found in Akrotiri are wall paintings or frescoes, which have kept their original colour as well.
The town also has a highly developed drainage system.
Santorini’s primary industry is tourism. Agriculture also forms a part of its economy, and the Island also sustains a wine industry, based on indigenous Assyrtiko grape variety. White varieties also include Athiri and Aidani, whereas red varieties include Mavrotragano and Mandilaria.
The Cyclades are part of a metamorphic complex that is known as the Cycladic Massif. The complex formed during the Miocene and was folded and metamorphosed during the Alpine oregeny around 60 million years ago. Thera is built upon a small, non-volcanic basement that represents the former non-volcanic island, which was approximately 9 by 6 km.
The 1956 Amorgos earthquake resulted in the demolition of many buildings in the north of Santorini, leading to the desertion of many of its villages. The expansion of tourism has resulted in the growth of the economy and population.
Santorini was ranked as the world’s top island tourist attraction from many magazines and travel sites such as the BBC, the Travel+ Leisure Magazine.

Communication is the act of conveying meanings from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs, symbols, and semiotic rules.
The ability to communicate effectively with superiors, colleagues, and staff is essential, no matter what industry you work in. Workers in the digital age must know how to effectively convey and receive messages in person as well as via phone, email, and social media.
However some people find it uneasy to maintain there cool in parties or crowded areas, let’s look at some ways to enhance our vocabulary and communication skills to leave a spark wherever you go, whether it is a party or just an ordinary get-together.
First of all, you gotta identify and replace all the negative thoughts. If you have a lot of negative thoughts about your social interaction, it could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Second, behave like a social person. Don’t allow anxiety to hold you back. Make decisions to talk to new people and to enter into conversations even when you’re feeling nervous about it.
Third, encourage others to talk about themselves. People really enjoy talking about themselves. Ask questions about their career, hobbies, or family. Show that you are interested in hearing what is being said.
Fourth and the most important one, Pay attention to your body language, cause non-verbal communication is very important. Try to appear relaxed, make appropriate amounts of eye contact, and do appear to conversation.
Fifth, start small if necessary. If going to a party or spending some time in a crowd seems overwhelming or kinda difficult, start small. Like go into the grocery and say, “thankyou“, to the clerk or go to a restaurant and order your food. Practice making small talk gradually.
I hope that these strategies will help in every way possible,
Simplicity can be defined as a state or quality of being simple. Something easy to understand or explain seems simple, in contrast to something which is complicated.
Simplicity is the greatest form of sophistication, to think simply is to understand the benefit of a simpler approach first.
“the simplest explanation is often the most plausible.”
Like Sherlock Holmes used to say when confronting a crime scene.
Simplicity can be difficult for some people to achieve, but people who tend to remain calm and simple in most of the complex situations may find it easy to live a simple life.
“Simplicity is the essence of happy life.”
Why to remain simple even in the most complex situations?
This is the question that is asked by thousands of people everyday. Simplicity matters because it has such a big effect on us, our technologies, and our ability to communicate. When it’s done well, simplicity makes communication clearer and much more understandable for you and others.
