Hey there! How you doin’, great I hope. We are back with another fascinating post on our Blog site Peaceof Mind.
This time we’ll take a look at the world’s most happiest country, Finland!
For the third year in a row, Finland has placed at the top of the list as being the happiest country in the world, with Denmark coming in second, followed by Switzerland, which pushed Norway out of the top three this year, according to The Forbes report. Check the full report here.
let’s take a look at some facts which are major components adding to the happiness of Finland :
Finland, officially known as the Republic of Finland is a Nordic Country located in Northern Europe. Finland shares its borders with Sweden to the west, Russia to the East, and Norway to the North & is defined by the Gulf of Bothnia to the West and the Gulf of Finland to the south that are part of the Baltic Sea.
In 1906, Finland became the first European state to grant all the adult citizens right to vote, and the first in the world to provide all adult citizens with right to run for public office. Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russian Empire, tried Finland to make a Russian state and also terminate its political autonomy, but after 1917 Russian Revolution, Finland declared itself independent from the empire.
Finland was inhabited around 9000 BC, the last Glacier Period. The Stone Age introduced several different kinds of ceramic cultures and styles.
The Bronze Age and Iron Age were characterised by extensive contacts with other cultures in Fennoscandia and the Baltic Region.
While Finns have always been at the forefront of technological innovation, they know happiness cannot be found on a computer screen. While others go to therapy, Finns put on a pair of rubber boots and head to the woods!
Even Prisons in Finland are more like cafés and personal bedrooms!
Rather than punishing their prisoners, Finland focuses on major rehabilitation and preparation for a smooth reentry of prisoners into the society.
Normal Daily routine of Prisoners
There are no bars on the windows, no huge gates, no fences.
By 7am, the prisoners are ready to begin their working day. A number of prisoners have jobs with local businesses, while the rest perform tasks organised by the prison.
Diego Armando Maradona was an Argentine professional football player and manager. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award.
On 2 November 2020, Maradona was admitted to a hospital in La Plata, supposedly for psychological reasons.
On 25 November 2020, at the age of 60, Maradona suffered a cardiacarrest and died at his home in DiqueLuján, in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.
Here, we look at some of the glorious moments and unknown facts of the legendary player:
The duality of Maradona’s outsized life was perhaps laid out clearest within his most famous game. In the quarterfinal at 1986 World Cup in Mexico against Argentina’s hated rivals England, just four years after they fought the brief Falklands War, Maradona set up an attack that appeared to be going nowhere. But England midfielder Steve Hodge clumsily shanked the ball back between of Maradona and English goalkeeper Peter Shilton.
The first goal came to be known as the “Hand of God”. In his description of the second goal, a tearful Argentine play-by-play announcer Victor HugoMorales famously asked Maradona what planet he had come from. Maradona inspired and defied the rules.
To some he was God. Or his hand was Godly, at least. There is even a church of Maradona in Argentina with a congregation of his disciples, still going strong 23 years after he last kicked a ball professionally for his beloved Boca Juniors, the club that launched him to Stardom. To others, he was otherworldly.
Maradona was the kind of outsized character who, warts and all, can scarcely be sketched out in a retrospective of his life. He simply did too many remarkable things.
Maradona died on 25 November, 2020, less than a month after his 60th birthday. Now he is in The hand of God.
Communication is the act of conveying meanings from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs, symbols, and semiotic rules.
The ability to communicate effectively with superiors, colleagues, and staff is essential, no matter what industry you work in. Workers in the digital age must know how to effectively convey and receive messages in person as well as via phone, email, and social media.
However some people find it uneasy to maintain there cool in parties or crowded areas, let’s look at some ways to enhance our vocabulary and communication skills to leave a spark wherever you go, whether it is a party or just an ordinary get-together.
First of all, you gotta identify and replace all the negative thoughts. If you have a lot of negative thoughts about your social interaction, it could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Second, behave like a social person. Don’t allow anxiety to hold you back. Make decisions to talk to new people and to enter into conversations even when you’re feeling nervous about it.
Third, encourage others to talk about themselves. People really enjoy talking about themselves. Ask questions about their career, hobbies, or family. Show that you are interested in hearing what is being said.
Fourth and the most important one, Pay attention to your body language, cause non-verbal communication is very important. Try to appear relaxed, make appropriate amounts of eye contact, and do appear to conversation.
Fifth, start small if necessary. If going to a party or spending some time in a crowd seems overwhelming or kinda difficult, start small. Like go into the grocery and say, “thankyou“, to the clerk or go to a restaurant and order your food. Practice making small talk gradually.
I hope that these strategies will help in every way possible,
